Terms and Conditions

These terms

These terms apply to exterior cleaning services provided by Ultra Clean Exteriors of 17 Blount's Dr, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, ST14 8TQ. They are supplied alongside every quotation and form part of the agreement between us.

Quotations

Quotations are free and are given in writing. A quotation is valid for 30 days and is based on the information and photographs supplied. If the property turns out to be materially different from what was described, substantially more area, restricted access, or a condition that needs different treatment, we will tell you and quote again before starting rather than adding to the price afterwards.

Where we work

Regular rounds cover Uttoxeter and the surrounding villages, across Staffordshire and into Derbyshire, with no travel charge. Larger one off work is quoted further afield. If you are outside the usual area, ask and we will tell you plainly whether we can get to you.

Access and preparation

Please make sure we can reach the areas to be cleaned, that gates are unlocked and vehicles moved where necessary, and that windows and doors are closed before we arrive. For jet washing we may need access to an outside tap, and we will confirm this when booking.

A reminder text goes out the evening before every visit so there is time to unlock a side gate or move a car, which is why this rarely arises.

On a regular window round, if we arrive and cannot reach the back of the property, we clean the front, tell you what we have done, and charge either half the normal price or the minimum charge of £13, whichever is the greater. The round then carries on as normal at the next visit.

On one off work such as gutter clearance, fascia and soffit cleaning, a roof or a driveway, a job that cannot be reached is rescheduled rather than part done. Nothing is charged for a visit that could not go ahead.

Weather

Pure water window cleaning continues in light rain, which does not affect the finish. Work is rescheduled in high winds, heavy rain, ice or where conditions make working at height unsafe. If we move a visit we will contact you directly; rescheduling for weather is not a cancellation and no charge arises.

Payment

We accept direct debit, bank transfer and card. Regular rounds are collected by direct debit after each visit. Individual jobs are payable on completion unless agreed otherwise. Commercial clients are invoiced monthly on 30-day terms. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue commercial invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Cancellation

You may cancel or pause a regular round at any time by telling us before the next scheduled visit. For individual work booked as a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day cancellation period; if you ask us to start within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already done.

Our liability

We carry £5 million public liability insurance and a certificate is available on request. We take care of your property and will put right any damage we cause. We are not liable for existing defects: failed window seals, loose or cracked tiles, perished sealant, already damaged pointing, or guttering that is defective before we arrive, and we will point out anything of that kind we notice. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Results

Cleaning restores surfaces; it does not resurface them. Heavily oxidised uPVC, permanently stained paving, and tiles that have lost their surface coating will improve substantially but may not return to their original appearance. Where we expect that to be the case, we will say so before starting.

Complaints

If you are not happy with any part of the work, call 07876 645746 within 24 hours of the visit and we will come back and put it right, free of charge and without argument.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Before launch: these terms are a well structured starting point reflecting normal practice in this trade and UK consumer law, but they are not legal advice. Have them checked, and make sure the payment terms and cancellation periods match what the business actually does.
