How the clean works
Our window cleaning in Uttoxeter is done with pure water. Mains water is filtered on the van to take the dissolved minerals out of it, and that is the part that matters. It is those minerals in ordinary tap water that dry on the glass and leave the spots and the streaks. With them taken out, the water can be left to dry on its own.
The water is fed up a pole to a brush at the window. The brush does the cleaning, on the frames and the sills as well as the glass, and the water rinses it off. It is all done from the ground.
The glass is left wet, which is normal. Once it has dried it should be clear and streak free. If it is not, tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and put it right.

Four weekly costs more over the year, and the glass never gets the chance to go properly dirty. Pick whichever suits you.
- Minimum charge £13.
- Conservatory roof and glass from £75, depending on size and how long it has been left. Quoted from a photo.
- Solar panels from £8 a panel, cleaned on the same visit, where the panels can be reached from the ground. Panels that need a tower or roof access are not something we take on.

Paying is meant to be the easy part
Payment is by direct debit, card or bank transfer, collected after the visit. Nothing to find on the day, nothing to leave under a plant pot, and a record of every payment on both sides.

If any part of the work is not right, call within 24 hours of the visit and we come back and put it right, free of charge and without an argument about it. It is on the front of the site rather than tucked away in the terms, because we mean it.

Eight weekly suits quieter streets and lower maintenance properties. Beyond appearance, traffic film, bird droppings and salt left sitting on uPVC frames, seals and hardware will stain and degrade them over time, so regular cleaning is maintenance rather than just looks.
Do you clean the frames and sills as well as the glass?
Yes, on every visit and at no extra cost. The glass, the frames and the sills are washed as part of a standard clean. It is the part most people notice from the street, and it is included in the price rather than charged as an extra.
Why do my windows look wet when you leave?
Because they are. Pure water is left on the glass rather than dried off with a cloth. Everything dissolved in it has already been filtered out, so as it evaporates it leaves nothing behind and the window dries clear. Give it an hour.
Do you have a referral scheme?
Yes, for customers on a regular window cleaning round. Recommend a neighbour or a friend, and once they have had their third clean your next clean is free. There is no limit on how many people you can recommend.
What if I am not happy with the clean?

Do you need access to my garden or an outside tap?
No. Water is carried on the van and purified on board, so no outside tap or household water is used.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain and short showers do not affect the finish, so work continues. Heavy rain and high winds move the visit, and customers hear about it directly rather than finding out by nobody arriving. Rain on clean glass does not generally dirty it either. What marks a window after rain is the dirt running off the roof, the frames and the sills, which is exactly why those are washed too.
Will it be the same person every time?
Yes. Ultra Clean Exteriors is Josh, working on his own most of the time, so the person who quotes the work is the person who turns up and does it. He gets to know the property, which gate sticks and which window needs the extra minute.
Is the water safe for plants, pets and paintwork?
Yes. It is mains water with the dissolved minerals filtered out of it, and nothing added. There is no detergent and no chemical in it, so run off onto borders, gravel or a lawn does no harm, and there is nothing to keep pets or children away from.
Do you clean through the winter?
Yes. Pure water cleaning carries on year round and light rain does not affect the finish. Visits move for ice, high winds, heavy rain, or anything that makes working at height unsafe, and you hear about it directly when a visit moves.
Can I skip a clean or pause the round?
Yes. Tell us before the next scheduled visit and it is paused or skipped, with no charge and no awkwardness. There is no contract and no minimum number of visits.
What if you cannot get round the back?
A reminder text goes out the evening before every visit so there is time to unlock a side gate or move a car, so this rarely happens. If it does, we clean the front, tell you what we have done, and charge either half the normal price or the thirteen pound minimum, whichever is the greater. The round carries on as normal next time. For one off work such as gutters or a driveway, a job we cannot reach is rescheduled rather than part done, and nothing is charged for the visit.
Do you cover my area?
