White plastic does not stay white
uPVC goes from white to grey green over about eight years, and because it happens evenly across the whole roofline nobody notices. What people do notice are the dark streaks running down from under the gutter line, and the fact that a well kept house somehow looks older than it is.
Fascia and soffit cleaning in Uttoxeter is the job with the widest gap between what it costs and what it changes. Half a day's work routinely takes a decade off the front of a house, which is why it is the first thing most people book before putting a property on the market.
Cleaned back, not painted over
uPVC does not need pressure and it does not respond to household cleaners. It needs a purpose made uPVC cleaning solution that lifts the oxidised surface layer and the algae growing in it, applied with a soft brush on a reach pole and rinsed with pure water so it dries without streaks.
We clean the whole roofline, fascias, soffits, bargeboards, the outside of the guttering, cladding and any uPVC porch or conservatory frames, from ground level. Older uPVC that has chalked badly will not go back to factory white, and we will tell you what to expect before we start rather than after.

We clean uPVC across Uttoxeter and the surrounding villages: Marchington, Bramshall, Stramshall, Rocester, Doveridge, Kingstone and Abbots Bromley. We travel further into Staffordshire for larger properties and commercial premises.
Most three and four bedroom houses are a half day job, and almost all of it is done from the ground.
What fascia and soffit cleaning costs
One price for the whole roofline, set by the type of property. Fascias, soffits, bargeboards and the outside face of the guttering are all part of the same price, and it does not move once we are on the drive.
From £80 for the whole roofline, fascias, soffits, bargeboards and the outside of the guttering. Exact price in the calculator.
- Anything larger gets its own price. Three storey properties, extended houses carrying a good deal more roofline than usual, and older buildings where the access is the difficult part. Send a photo and Josh will come back with a fixed figure.
- Porch and attached garage rooflines are included, not added on afterwards. Only a detached garage or a separate outbuilding is quoted on top.
- The second column is the price with gutter clearance done on the same visit, at 15 per cent off the two prices combined. Both jobs use the same set up, so there is a real saving to pass on.
- Extras, priced on top: a detached garage £40, an outbuilding, workshop or store £40, a conservatory roof and frames £75, a lean to, carport or canopy £30. Extras sit outside the 15 per cent, because a separate structure does not share the set up.
- Cladding and garage doors are quoted separately, because size varies far more than a roofline does.
- Badly chalked uPVC will improve substantially but will not return to factory white. We say so before starting rather than afterwards.
- Larger houses, three storey properties and anything with difficult access are quoted from a photo. Commercial uPVC and cladding is quoted per site.
Reliable, tidy and in touch from start to finish
Most complaints about cleaners are not about the cleaning. They are about people who do not turn up, do not say anything and leave a mess behind. These are the things we hold ourselves to on every single visit.
Your property is treated as ours
Gates are closed behind us, hoses are kept off borders and out of doorways, nothing is leant against your guttering or your conservatory, and everything is put back where we found it. Fully insured to £5 million, on every visit.
We turn up when we say we will
A round only works if the person cleaning is reliable. You get a date, we keep it, and if the weather moves a visit you hear it from us first rather than finding out by nobody arriving.
A reminder the evening before
A text the night before every visit, so there is time to unlock a side gate, move a car off the driveway or shut an upstairs window. No unannounced knocks.
A message when the job is finished
A text or an email once the work is done, whichever you prefer. If you are out at work you still know the moment your property has been cleaned.
Paying is meant to be the easy part
Payment is by direct debit, card or bank transfer, collected after the visit. Nothing to find on the day, nothing to leave under a plant pot, and a record of every payment on both sides.
Not happy? You have 24 hours
If any part of the work is not right, call within 24 hours of the visit and we come back and put it right, free of charge and without an argument about it. It is on the front of the site rather than tucked away in the terms, because we mean it.
The price is agreed before we start
Fixed, in writing, and free to ask for. The first clean is charged at the standard price, the same as every one after it, and the figure does not move unless you ask us to do more work.
Prices and common questions
How much does fascia and soffit cleaning cost?
Fascia and soffit cleaning is priced by the size of the property and the length of the roofline. Ultra Clean Exteriors provides a fixed written price before starting and quotes are free. Call 07876 645746.
Will my uPVC go back to white?
Most uPVC comes back to close to its original colour. uPVC that has chalked heavily after many years of sun exposure will improve substantially but will not return to factory white, and Ultra Clean Exteriors says so before starting.
Do you need scaffolding or ladders?
No. Fascia and soffit cleaning is carried out from ground level using reach poles on the great majority of domestic properties.
How often should uPVC be cleaned?
Every one to two years keeps uPVC from oxidising and staining. Properties under trees or on busy roads benefit from annual cleaning.
Do you clean conservatory roofs?
Yes. Conservatory roof panels, frames and finials are cleaned as part of this service or as a standalone job.
Will cleaning damage the plastic?
No. Ultra Clean Exteriors uses purpose made uPVC cleaning solution and soft brushes rather than pressure or abrasives, so the surface is not scoured.
